James Halls, Founder and lead director, Open Source Healing Initiative (OSHI)
James was a lay member on the NICE alcohol-use disorders quality standard and a member of NICE’s people and communities network. James is also the founder and lead director of OSHI, a social network and recovery incubator that connects NHS patients with OSHI coaches who bring lived experience of addiction, mental health challenges, and trauma.
Alongside his work at OSHI, James is a passionate advocate for lived experience in healthcare, with published research and a strong track record of public speaking. He is committed to transforming care through peer-driven, holistic support that addresses the unique needs of each individual.
