Sarah is responsible for the NICE guidance programmes evaluating the value of devices, diagnostics and digital technologies to improve patient access and care, and address NHS system challenges. Sarah also leads on strategic development furthering NICE’s role in the health technology ecosystem, balancing the needs of the NHS, patients and industry. Most recently, she has led the development of the new early value assessment approach for health technologies that address key NHS needs, helping to build the evidence base for widespread adoption through early deployment in the NHS. Prior to NICE, Sarah completed a PhD in biochemistry and worked in the pharmaceutical industry.
