Prof Dalia Dawoud, associate director (research), science, policy and research programme, NICE

Dalia Dawoud, PhD, is associate director (research) at NICE. She has practised as a health economist and researcher for over 20 years. Her current work is focused on advancing health technology assessment (HTA) and clinical guideline development methods through research.

Dalia leads the NICE HTA Innovation Laboratory (HTA Lab) as well as NICE’s portfolio of European Commission funded projects, such as the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) Integration of heterogeneous data and evidence towards regulatory and HTA acceptance (IDERHA) and the Horizon Europe Support Utilisation of Sustainable and Tailored Innovative methods for HTA (SUSTAIN-HTA) projects.

She is widely published in the area of health economics and outcomes research and serves as associate editor of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) journal, Value in Health and as director on the ISPOR board of directors (2023-2026).
