Dominic Wake, head of corporate affairs, Sandoz Nordics
Dominic Wake is head of corporate affairs, northern cluster at Sandoz, covering the Netherlands, Nordics, UK & Ireland and Israel. He also represents Medicines UK, the trade body for the generic and biosimilar industry, on a NICE stakeholder panel.
Dominic has more than 20 years’ experience in government affairs, market access, and corporate affairs roles across the pharmaceutical sector. At Sandoz UK & Ireland he led market access and corporate affairs, focusing on the role of biosimilar and generic medicines in delivering affordable innovation to the NHS. Previously at Novartis, he directed government and NHS partnerships, with a particular emphasis on oncology, outcomes-based models, and specialised commissioning. Earlier roles at Eli Lilly and AstraZeneca involved communications, NHS liaison, and patient advocacy, where he contributed to securing NICE approvals and access for cancer and rare disease therapies.
Dominic’s current work examines how pragmatic reform of the policy environment – including in health technology appraisal – can deliver savings for the NHS while increasing public health and creating a predictable environment for industry investment and medicine supply. He brings to the conference a career-long commitment to bridging the gap between industry, health systems, and patient needs.
