Dr Jacoline Bouvy, deputy director of medicines evaluation, NICE
Jacoline is the deputy director of medicines evaluation at NICE. She is responsible for the delivery of medicines guidance produced by NICE’s Medicines Evaluation Directorate, which publishes between 90-100 technology appraisals and highly specialised technologies guidance annually. She is also the senior responsible officer for NICE’s whole lifecycle approach project.
Previously Jacoline worked in other roles at NICE, including as the technical director for NICE Scientific Advice. Before joining NICE in 2015, Jacoline worked at the European Medicines Agency and as an academic researcher in the Netherlands.
Jacoline holds a PhD from Utrecht University, the Netherlands and has an MSc in health economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She has co-authored over 25 peer-reviewed articles, is a member of the editorial board of the journal PharmacoEconomics and the journal Applied Health Economics and Health Policy and is a member of the Drug Information Association’s Europe, Middle East & Africa Regional Advisory Council.
