Graduated from Christian Medical College Vellore India in 1996, master in general surgery 2002 from CMC Vellore, MRCS 2005, M.Ed. in surgical education 2011 and FRCS in general surgery February 2015.
Joined as consultant colorectal surgeon at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS trust in 2015.

Earlier adopter of robotics in colorectal surgery and spear headed the Colorectal Robotic Surgery Programme at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust from 2017. Currently lead on the trust robotic surgery expansion programme aiming to widen access to robotic surgery.

Keen interest in education- surgical educator, trainer and proctor in colorectal robotic surgery. Involved in training surgeon in UK and EU- aiming to democratise robotic surgery and help build safe, sustainable, productive teams.
